COD King‑COD Fees & OTP Verify vs Justuno ‑ Email & SMS Pop upsfor Shopify (2026)
COD King‑COD Fees & OTP Verify and Justuno ‑ Email & SMS Pop ups are both Shopify apps that utilize notifications, but address vastly different needs for e-commerce merchants in 2026. COD King focuses on reducing Return To Origin (RTO) and Return To Sender (RTS) costs associated with Cash on Delivery (COD) orders, particularly in markets like India and Egypt. It offers features like OTP verification, upfront/partial payments, and COD fees to filter unserious buyers and convert COD orders to prepaid. Justuno, on the other hand, is a comprehensive website marketing automation platform geared towards growing email and SMS subscriber lists and driving sales through intelligent popups and personalized website experiences. The core difference lies in their purpose: COD King optimizes the COD payment process to mitigate risks and increase profitability in regions where COD is prevalent, while Justuno aims to enhance overall website engagement and conversion rates by capturing leads and personalizing the customer journey. While both utilize notifications (SMS and WhatsApp for COD King, primarily email and SMS for Justuno), their target audience and application are fundamentally distinct. COD King is best suited for merchants struggling with COD-related issues, while Justuno is beneficial for any merchant looking to improve their website's marketing effectiveness.

Our Verdict
The choice between COD King and Justuno depends heavily on the merchant's specific needs. If a significant portion of a merchant's business relies on COD, especially in regions like India and Egypt, and they are experiencing high RTO/RTS rates, COD King is the clear winner. Its specialized features are designed to directly address these challenges.
However, if the merchant's primary goal is to improve overall website marketing, grow their email/SMS lists, and increase conversion rates, Justuno is the more suitable option. It provides a comprehensive suite of tools for creating personalized website experiences and capturing leads. While COD King offers notifications, it is solely focused on COD order verification and updates, not general marketing communications. Therefore, Justuno is a more broadly applicable solution for most Shopify stores.
