COD King‑COD Fees & OTP Verify vs Moose: COD IVR Order Verifierfor Shopify (2026)
COD King and Moose both aim to reduce RTO/RTS (Return to Origin/Sender) rates and fraudulent COD orders on Shopify stores, but they approach the problem with different verification methods and feature sets. COD King offers a broader suite of tools, including OTP verification via SMS/WhatsApp, upfront/partial payment options, COD fees, and the ability to show/hide COD based on parameters. It positions itself as a comprehensive solution for converting COD orders to prepaid and maximizing profit. In contrast, Moose focuses solely on order verification through automated IVR (Interactive Voice Response) calls. This simpler approach could be attractive to merchants seeking a streamlined solution focused exclusively on call-based confirmation.

Our Verdict
COD King is the better choice for merchants seeking a comprehensive solution to manage COD orders, reduce RTO/RTS rates, and optimize payment options. Its broader feature set, including OTP verification, upfront payments, and COD fees, provides greater control and flexibility. However, merchants prioritizing simplicity and a straightforward IVR-based verification method might find Moose suitable, especially if their primary concern is eliminating bogus orders. Given the significant difference in the number of reviews, COD King has far more social proof. Merchants should consider testing both during their free trial periods to assess which best meets their specific needs.
