COD King‑COD Fees & OTP Verify vs Payflow: COD & Payment Methodsfor Shopify (2026)
COD King and Payflow both address Cash on Delivery (COD) challenges for Shopify merchants, but take different approaches. COD King positions itself as a comprehensive solution to reduce Return to Origin (RTO) and Return to Sender (RTS) costs by verifying orders through OTP, incentivizing upfront payments, and adding COD fees. Its primary focus is on minimizing losses associated with unreliable COD orders, particularly in markets like India and Egypt. For merchants heavily impacted by high RTO/RTS rates and dealing with a large number of unreliable COD orders, especially those operating in India or Egypt, COD King is likely the better choice. Payflow, however, is a more suitable solution for merchants who need greater flexibility in managing their payment and delivery methods. Its powerful condition tool allows for highly customized checkout experiences, making it ideal for businesses with complex shipping rules or a desire to offer tailored payment options based on customer behavior.
