COD King‑COD Fees & OTP Verify vs POWR: Custom Form Builder Profor Shopify (2026)
COD King‑COD Fees & OTP Verify and POWR: Custom Form Builder Pro are Shopify apps that address very different needs. COD King focuses on reducing Return-to-Origin (RTO) and Return-to-Sender (RTS) rates for merchants, primarily in India and Egypt, who offer Cash-on-Delivery (COD). It achieves this by offering OTP verification, upfront/partial payment options, and COD fees, aimed at filtering out unserious buyers and increasing prepaid conversions. POWR: Custom Form Builder Pro, on the other hand, is a general-purpose form builder designed for collecting data, fulfilling orders, and handling registrations. The stark contrast in ratings and reviews suggests a significant difference in user satisfaction and market adoption. COD King boasts a perfect 5/5 rating with a substantial 560 reviews, indicating strong positive feedback from its user base. In contrast, POWR has a significantly lower rating of 1.6/5 with only 4 reviews, potentially suggesting issues with functionality, user experience, or customer support. The 'Notifications' category overlap is misleading; while both apps send notifications, COD King's are specifically related to order confirmation and payment, whereas POWR's are tied to form submissions and auto-responses.

Our Verdict
For merchants heavily reliant on Cash-on-Delivery (COD) in India or Egypt, particularly those struggling with high RTO rates, COD King is the clear choice. Its focused features and overwhelmingly positive reviews suggest it effectively addresses the specific challenges of COD fulfillment in these regions. The OTP verification, upfront payment options, and COD fees are tailored to improve order commitment and reduce losses.
Conversely, POWR: Custom Form Builder Pro might be suitable for merchants who need a flexible tool for collecting various types of data through forms. However, the significantly lower rating and limited number of reviews raise concerns about its reliability and user-friendliness. Merchants considering POWR should carefully evaluate its features and weigh them against the potential drawbacks indicated by the negative reviews. Given the poor rating, it would be safer to evaluate alternative form builders, especially since the key benefits of COD King would not be relevant.
Common Questions
Can I use COD King to collect customer feedback?
No, COD King is specifically designed to optimize COD order fulfillment by verifying customer intent and reducing RTO. It does not offer general form-building capabilities for collecting feedback.
Does POWR: Custom Form Builder Pro help reduce RTO on COD orders?
No, POWR is a general form builder and does not directly address COD order issues or RTO reduction. You would need a specialized app like COD King for that purpose.
Is COD King suitable for merchants outside of India and Egypt?
While COD King may still offer some value (e.g., COD fees), its primary features and support are specifically tailored to India and Egypt. Merchants in other regions might find its functionality less relevant.
Can POWR: Custom Form Builder Pro integrate with my email marketing platform?
The description mentions integration with other platforms. Check the POWR app documentation for a list of supported integrations, including popular email marketing services. This depends on the version and any additional services you pay for with POWR.
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Based on the reviews and feature sets, COD King is likely easier to set up for its intended purpose of COD optimization. POWR, with its broader form-building capabilities, might require more configuration and learning to achieve the desired outcome.
