COD King‑COD Fees & OTP Verify vs ProveSource: Sales Pop Upsfor Shopify (2026)
COD King‑COD Fees & OTP Verify and ProveSource: Sales Pop Ups are both well-rated Shopify apps, both boasting a 5/5 rating. However, they serve distinctly different purposes. COD King focuses on optimizing Cash on Delivery (COD) orders by reducing returns and increasing conversions to prepaid orders. It achieves this through OTP verification, upfront/partial payments, and COD fees, targeting merchants primarily in India and Egypt struggling with RTO (Return to Origin) and RTS (Return to Sender) issues. In contrast, ProveSource: Sales Pop Ups, as inferred from its name, likely utilizes notification-based features. Due to the data scarcity for ProveSource, a detailed differentiation is challenging. Given they share the 'Notifications' category, ProveSource likely leverages sales pop-ups as notifications to create urgency and social proof, leading to increased conversions across various payment methods, unlike COD King's specific focus on COD optimization.

Our Verdict
Choosing between COD King and ProveSource depends heavily on your business needs. If you operate in India or Egypt and struggle with high COD return rates, COD King is the clear choice. Its features are specifically designed to address these issues and convert COD orders to prepaid. However, if you are looking for a general solution to boost conversion rates across all payment methods, without a specific focus on COD, ProveSource *might* be a better fit, assuming it provides effective sales pop-ups as notifications. The limited data on ProveSource makes definitive recommendations challenging. Further investigation of ProveSource's features is crucial before making a decision.
