COD King‑COD Fees & OTP Verify vs RI Cash On Deliveryfor Shopify (2026)
COD King‑COD Fees & OTP Verify and RI Cash On Delivery both aim to help Shopify merchants optimize their Cash on Delivery (COD) processes, focusing on reducing RTO (Return to Origin)/RTS (Return to Sender) rates and preventing fraudulent orders. However, they differ significantly in their approach and feature sets. COD King emphasizes upfront verification and conversion of COD orders to prepaid using OTP verification, partial payments, and prepaid discounts, primarily targeting merchants in India and Egypt. RI Cash On Delivery, on the other hand, focuses on granular control over COD availability and fraud prevention, offering features to restrict COD based on location, cart value, or product type, along with customer blacklisting. COD King presents a more proactive approach to securing COD orders by verifying customer intent before fulfillment, while RI Cash On Delivery takes a more reactive approach by setting rules to limit COD availability and block suspicious orders. The most crucial difference is the demonstrated track record and user satisfaction, as evidenced by COD King's significantly higher rating and review count. RI Cash On Delivery lacks user feedback, making its reliability and effectiveness unproven. This lack of data impacts its perceived value compared to the established solution of COD King.

Our Verdict
For established merchants, especially those operating in India or Egypt, COD King‑COD Fees & OTP Verify is the clear choice due to its proven track record, high rating, and comprehensive features like OTP verification and partial payments that actively reduce RTO. Its focus on converting COD orders to prepaid is a distinct advantage.
RI Cash On Delivery, despite its features related to granular control and fraud prevention, is difficult to recommend without any user reviews or evidence of its effectiveness. It might be suitable for merchants willing to take a risk on a new app and who specifically need the customer blacklisting feature. However, the lack of social proof makes it a less reliable option compared to COD King.
