COD King‑COD Fees & OTP Verify vs Snap Cash On Delivery: COD Feefor Shopify (2026)
COD King‑COD Fees & OTP Verify and Snap Cash On Delivery: COD Fee are both Shopify apps designed to reduce RTO (Return to Origin) and RTS (Return to Sender) rates associated with Cash on Delivery (COD) orders. COD King positions itself as a comprehensive solution for verifying intent, offering split payments, upfront payments, COD fees, and converting COD to prepaid orders with OTP verification via SMS/WhatsApp. It appears to target merchants looking for a robust, multi-faceted approach to combating fraudulent COD orders and increasing conversion rates. In contrast, Snap Cash On Delivery focuses on COD fees and limitation, showcasing features like linking COD to shipping methods and hiding/showing COD based on order value, weight, customer, product or collections, and risk assessment using IP location and order history, suggesting its aimed at merchants seeking a simpler, more rules-based fraud prevention solution. A core difference is COD King's support for upfront/partial payments, offering incentives for prepaid, which is absent in Snap Cash On Delivery.

Our Verdict
COD King‑COD Fees & OTP Verify is a stronger choice for merchants experiencing significant losses due to fraudulent COD orders and are willing to implement upfront payments and OTP verification to reduce RTO rates. Its conversion-focused approach, including discounts for prepaid orders, can potentially offset the cost of implementation. However, merchants with stricter COD policies to customers may find Snap Cash On Delivery: COD Fee simpler to implement. Snap Cash On Delivery would be suitable for smaller stores or those with less complex needs. Ultimately, the number of reviews for COD King should give a merchant much greater confidence in it's functionality. Given the limited data points, further investigation into Snap Cash on Delivery would be warranted if a merchant wishes to use it.
