COD Toolkit by Breeze vs CodForm ‑ COD Form & Upsellsfor Shopify (2026)
COD Toolkit by Breeze and CodForm ‑ COD Form & Upsells both cater to Shopify merchants utilizing Cash on Delivery (COD) payments, but they address distinct needs. COD Toolkit focuses on granular control and customization of the COD payment option itself. It provides tools for blocking COD based on rules like price ranges or location, as well as customizing the payment option's name for branding consistency. This positions it as a risk management and branding tool. CodForm, on the other hand, aims to optimize the COD ordering process and increase average order value (AOV). It offers customizable one-click order forms, instant WhatsApp confirmation, and various upsell options. It also emphasizes tracking and communication features. The primary difference lies in their approaches. COD Toolkit concentrates on defining *when* COD is offered and how it's presented, while CodForm optimizes the *process* of COD orders, including streamlining the form, promoting upsells, and facilitating communication. COD Toolkit aims to reduce risk and improve branding; CodForm aims to boost conversion rates and AOV. Consequently, their target audiences will also be different: Merchants primarily concerned about reducing COD-related losses will likely prefer Toolkit, while those prioritizing sales growth will lean towards CodForm. Consider also the significant difference in user reviews. COD Toolkit is rated 5/5 based on 14 reviews, while CodForm sits at 3.2/5 with only 3 reviews. While more reviews aren't always better, the disparity suggests a more positive user experience, or at least better perceived value, with COD Toolkit at the time these reviews were collected.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned about minimizing risks associated with COD payments (e.g., high return rates in specific regions, low-value orders), COD Toolkit by Breeze is the clear choice. Its rule-based blocking and branding customization provide the control needed to manage COD strategically. The significantly higher rating and number of reviews also suggest a more reliable and satisfactory user experience.
However, if the priority is boosting COD conversion rates and increasing AOV, CodForm ‑ COD Form & Upsells offers valuable tools like one-click order forms and integrated upsells. But, merchants must carefully evaluate if its lower rating and fewer reviews suggest a more complex setup or other potential issues. It might be suitable if you have the resources to optimize and troubleshoot, and if WhatsApp integration and social pixel tracking are key to your marketing strategy. Ultimately, given the rating and review differences, COD Toolkit is the safer bet unless the specific features of CodForm (upsells and WhatsApp) are business critical.
Common Questions

Which app is better for increasing average order value (AOV) on COD orders?
CodForm's pre-purchase, post-purchase, and one-click upsell features are specifically designed to increase AOV. COD Toolkit does not offer any comparable functionality.

Which app helps with managing the operational aspect of COD order processing?
While both touch on the operational aspect, CodForm provides greater visibility with automatic importing to Google Sheets and WhatsApp confirmations. COD Toolkit focuses on blocking and naming the option, but not operational order process optimization.
