COD Toolkit by Breeze vs Payfy: Hide Payment Rulesfor Shopify (2026)
COD Toolkit by Breeze and Payfy: Hide Payment Rules both aim to enhance the checkout experience by providing merchants with control over payment options, specifically focusing on rules and customization. COD Toolkit concentrates on managing Cash on Delivery (COD) by allowing merchants to block COD based on price ranges and location and customize the COD payment name for branding. Payfy, with its 'Hide Payment Rules' focus, is broader, likely managing visibility of various payment methods based on different criteria. Both apps operate within the 'Checkout' and 'Checkout - Other' Shopify categories, suggesting a focus on optimizing the payment stage of the customer journey. However, despite the similar categories, their approaches differ. COD Toolkit is clearly targeted at merchants who specifically use COD and want granular control over its availability. Payfy seems to offer broader payment method management and hiding functionalities, which might appeal to stores using multiple payment gateways and those who need more flexible rules across various payment options. The difference in review count is significant: COD Toolkit has only 14 reviews, while Payfy has 123. This suggests Payfy has a larger user base and potentially more established market presence, although COD Toolkit's perfect rating is noteworthy.

Our Verdict
For merchants heavily reliant on Cash on Delivery who need precise control over when and where it's offered, COD Toolkit by Breeze is the better choice. Its focused features and customizable name offer a targeted solution for managing COD risks and tailoring the customer experience around this payment method. While the low review count is a point to consider, its perfect rating suggests high user satisfaction among its users.
On the other hand, if a store needs broader control over the visibility of various payment methods, especially those not related to COD, Payfy: Hide Payment Rules appears to be the better option. Its higher review count suggests a larger user base and more established presence, even though its rating is slightly lower. For merchants with complex payment setups and diverse payment gateways, Payfy's potentially broader range of rules and hiding functionalities would provide more flexibility.
