COD Toolkit by Breeze vs VL: Checkout Address Validatorfor Shopify (2026)
COD Toolkit by Breeze and VL: Checkout Address Validator both aim to improve the Shopify checkout experience, but they target different pain points. COD Toolkit focuses specifically on providing merchants with greater control and customization options for Cash on Delivery (COD) payments. It allows merchants to create rules based on price or location to enable or disable COD, customize the COD payment option name to align with their branding, and manage COD more effectively. VL: Checkout Address Validator, on the other hand, is concerned with ensuring accurate and reliable delivery information by validating addresses, customizing checkout fields, and implementing advanced shipping rules. While both apps have a perfect 5/5 rating, COD Toolkit has slightly more reviews (14) than VL: Checkout Address Validator (9), suggesting potentially wider adoption or a longer presence in the Shopify App Store. The key difference lies in their core functionality: COD Toolkit is for merchants who heavily rely on COD and need to fine-tune its availability and presentation. VL: Checkout Address Validator is beneficial for businesses that struggle with failed deliveries due to incorrect addresses, or who need more control over the checkout process beyond payment methods.
