CodeUp ‑ Add Custom Code vs Magepow Infinite Scrollfor Shopify (2026)
CodeUp ‑ Add Custom Code and Magepow Infinite Scroll serve fundamentally different purposes for Shopify merchants. CodeUp is aimed at merchants who need to inject custom CSS, JavaScript, or verification code snippets into their storefront. Its strength lies in its simplicity and ease of use, allowing non-technical users to add tracking scripts (like Google Analytics or Facebook Pixel), verification codes, or custom styling directly. The target audience for CodeUp is broad, encompassing almost any merchant who needs to customize their storefront beyond the standard Shopify theme options, but lacks direct coding skills. Magepow Infinite Scroll, on the other hand, focuses specifically on enhancing the collection page experience by implementing infinite scrolling. It streamlines the browsing process for customers, eliminating the need for pagination and potentially improving engagement. Magepow's feature set centres around optimizing product discovery on collection pages and potentially blog pages. This app is ideally suited for merchants with large product catalogs who want to provide a more seamless and engaging browsing experience for their customers.

Our Verdict
Choosing between CodeUp and Magepow Infinite Scroll depends entirely on the specific needs of the merchant. If the primary goal is to add tracking scripts, verification codes, or minor CSS/JS adjustments to the website, then CodeUp is the clear choice. It provides a simple and straightforward way to implement these changes without needing extensive coding knowledge.
However, if the main objective is to improve the customer experience on collection pages and potentially increase sales by facilitating easier product discovery, then Magepow Infinite Scroll is the better option. Especially for shops with large inventories, the benefits of continuous scrolling can outweigh the broader custom code functionality offered by CodeUp. The higher number of reviews and perfect rating suggest that users are happy with its functionality. In cases where the use cases overlap (for example, wanting to track how many users use the infinite scroll), a merchant may install both.
