Codify COD vs Snap COD ‑ Cash on Deliveryfor Shopify (2026)
Codify COD and Snap COD ‑ Cash on Delivery both aim to enhance the Cash on Delivery (COD) experience for Shopify merchants in 2026, but they approach the problem from different angles. Codify COD focuses on mitigating risks associated with COD, specifically reducing Return To Origin (RTO) losses due to fake orders. It achieves this by implementing OTP verification, allowing merchants to control COD availability based on various criteria, and offering features like additional COD fees and automated order cancellation. Snap COD, on the other hand, emphasizes streamlining the COD ordering process by providing a dedicated COD form on the product page and allowing COD restrictions based on shipping options. It seems to target merchants primarily interested in increasing conversion rates and ease of ordering for COD customers.

Our Verdict
If a merchant is primarily concerned about reducing fake orders and minimizing RTO losses associated with COD, Codify COD is the clear choice. Its OTP verification and granular control over COD availability are invaluable features. The significant number of positive reviews (15) compared to Snap COD's lack of reviews provides further confidence. Snap COD, while potentially beneficial for merchants wanting to streamline the COD ordering process with dedicated forms and offer discounts for COD, lacks social proof and features aimed at preventing abuse of the COD payment method. Snap COD might be suitable for merchants who have minimal issues with fake COD orders and prioritize ease of checkout.
