Common Questions
Which app is easier to use for a beginner?
Metafields Guru is likely easier for beginners. Its description emphasizes an intuitive UI, Excel-like editor, and a browser extension, which simplifies the process of managing metafields. Coefficient requires some familiarity with spreadsheets.
Can I use both apps together?
While technically possible, using both apps simultaneously may not provide synergistic benefits. Coefficient exports Shopify data. You *could* include Metafields in the export, but that's generally not the intended use of either app.
Which app offers better value for a small business?
It depends on the business's priorities. If data analysis is crucial, Coefficient offers value. If storefront customization is more important, Metafields Guru is the better value. Consider their immediate needs.
Does Coefficient allow me to update my Shopify data from Google Sheets or Excel?
Based on the description, Coefficient focuses on importing data from Shopify to spreadsheets. It is not clear if it offers two-way synchronization where changes in spreadsheets are reflected back in Shopify. The description emphasizes automated data retrieval, not data pushing.
Does Metafields Guru offer support for different metafield types, like images or files?
The description of Metafields Guru mentions 'downloadable files' in relation to metafields. This suggests that it does support various metafield types, including those containing files and likely also images.
