Collection Sort & Category |KX vs EM Product & Collection Sortfor Shopify (2026)
Collection Sort & Category |KX and EM Product & Collection Sort both aim to improve product collection management on Shopify stores, but they cater to vastly different needs and operate on different scales. Collection Sort & Category |KX, with a perfect 5/5 rating from 178 reviews, positions itself as an AI-powered merchandising platform designed for larger fashion brands. Its core strengths lie in automated collection sorting, personalized product recommendations, and A/B testing capabilities, all without requiring any code. It focuses on optimizing inventory, increasing conversion rates, and personalizing the shopper experience based on regional performance and individual behavior. The advanced nature of this app suggests it may have a steeper learning curve but a higher potential return on investment for large-scale operations. EM Product & Collection Sort, in contrast, aims to provide a more basic, user-friendly solution for merchants looking to manage their product collections manually or with simpler automated options. With no reviews yet, it centers around easy organization, including manual sorting, automatic sorting based on revenue or inventory, and pushing out-of-stock items to the bottom of the collection. The target audience appears to be smaller stores or those prioritizing ease of use and simple solutions for basic collection management needs. The ability to handle unlimited products suggests scalability, but the lack of AI or advanced personalization indicates a focus on foundational collection management features.

Our Verdict
For established fashion brands with extensive catalogs and a desire for advanced personalization and automation, Collection Sort & Category |KX is the clear winner, despite potentially requiring a higher initial investment in time to learn its features. Its AI-driven capabilities and A/B testing functionalities offer significant potential for optimizing conversions and maximizing profits.
However, for smaller Shopify stores, businesses prioritizing simplicity, or those seeking a basic solution for manual or semi-automated collection management, EM Product & Collection Sort may be a more suitable choice. While it lacks the advanced AI features of its competitor, its focus on user-friendliness and essential features like automatically pushing out-of-stock items makes it a practical option for merchants with less complex needs and fewer resources. The lack of reviews is a risk factor, so testing its functionalities after installation is paramount.
