Collection Sort & Category |KX vs HiVar : Hide Sold Out Variantsfor Shopify (2026)
Collection Sort & Category |KX and HiVar : Hide Sold Out Variants address very different needs within a Shopify store, despite sharing the 'Product display' category. Collection Sort & Category |KX is an AI-powered merchandising platform designed for larger fashion brands seeking to automate and optimize product sorting, collection management, and product recommendations to enhance conversion rates. HiVar, on the other hand, focuses on improving the user experience on individual product pages by automatically hiding or disabling unavailable variants, preventing customer frustration and potentially leading to faster checkouts. The primary difference lies in their scope and sophistication. Kimonix aims to transform the entire product merchandising strategy through AI, whereas HiVar provides a focused solution to a common usability issue. Kimonix requires no code, suggesting a user-friendly interface, but its AI features imply a learning curve associated with understanding and interpreting the AI's recommendations. HiVar, with its straightforward functionality, likely offers a simpler setup process.
