Collection Tree vs EasyBoost:Carousel, Collectionfor Shopify (2026)
Collection Tree and EasyBoost:Carousel, Collection are both Shopify apps in the Product display and Collections categories, but they address distinct merchant needs. Collection Tree focuses intensely on collection organization and navigation for stores with extensive catalogs. It offers features like nested subcollections, drag-and-drop sorting, automated collections, and customizable breadcrumbs designed to improve user experience and SEO. This makes it ideal for merchants struggling with complex product catalogs who want to simplify navigation for their customers. EasyBoost:Carousel, Collection, on the other hand, is a broader sales and conversion optimization tool. While it does offer collection display options like sliders and grids, its primary focus is on creating urgency, increasing Average Order Value (AOV), and engaging shoppers through features like lookbooks, countdown timers, product recommendations, and upsell bundles. It appears to be a better fit for merchants aiming to boost sales through visual merchandising and promotional strategies across the entire store, not just within collections.

Our Verdict
If your primary challenge is managing a large and complex product catalog and improving navigation for your customers, Collection Tree is likely the better choice. Its focus on nested subcollections and dynamic breadcrumbs directly addresses these issues. However, if you're looking for a more comprehensive tool to boost sales through visual merchandising, product recommendations, and urgency tactics, EasyBoost:Carousel, Collection is the more appropriate option. It prioritizes features designed to increase AOV and convert visitors into buyers across your entire store.
Consider that Collection Tree has significantly fewer reviews. While a 5/5 rating is positive, the small sample size means you should thoroughly investigate its suitability for your specific needs before committing. EasyBoost's larger review count offers more confidence in its performance and reliability.
Common Questions
Which app is better for improving SEO?
Collection Tree is explicitly designed to improve SEO through dynamic breadcrumbs that reflect your nested subcollection structure. EasyBoost focuses more on conversion optimization and doesn't highlight SEO benefits.
Which app is easier to set up?
Based on the description, EasyBoost likely offers a faster setup due to its 28+ ready-made templates and the claim of 'no coding needed.' Collection Tree's setup complexity probably depends on the extent of your existing collection structure and the rules you want to implement for automated collections.
Can both apps be used together?
Yes, it's possible to use both apps together, but it's crucial to ensure they don't conflict. Collection Tree could handle the underlying collection structure, while EasyBoost could enhance the visual display of those collections and introduce conversion-boosting elements. Be mindful of potential redundancy or overlap in functionalities.
Which app offers more customization options?
EasyBoost seems to offer more customization *for visual display* due to its focus on templates, sliders, grids, and lookbooks. Collection Tree offers customization relating to *collection structure* like drag and drop sorting of products inside collections.
Which app is more suited for a small store with a limited product range?
EasyBoost might be more suitable for a smaller store, as Collection Tree's strength lies in managing large, complex inventories. EasyBoost's sales-focused features would likely have a more direct impact on a store with fewer products.
