Our Verdict
Choosing between Color Swatch King: Variants and PriUnit : Price Per Unit depends entirely on the type of products you sell. If your store primarily sells items with multiple variants like colors, sizes, or materials (e.g., apparel, electronics, home goods), Color Swatch King is the clear winner. Its features are specifically designed to improve the customer experience in selecting and comparing these variants. The sheer volume of positive reviews suggests it's a well-received solution.
However, if your business revolves around selling products by weight, volume, or length (e.g., groceries, fabrics, hardware), PriUnit is the far more appropriate choice. It directly addresses the specific needs of these businesses by automating unit price calculations and enabling customers to purchase exact quantities. While it has significantly fewer reviews than Color Swatch King, its focused functionality makes it indispensable for merchants in that niche.
Common Questions
Can Color Swatch King help me sell products by weight, like groceries?
No, Color Swatch King focuses on visually displaying different product variants and does not offer functionality for selling products based on weight, volume, or length. PriUnit is designed for that specific purpose.
Does PriUnit offer visual variant options like color swatches?
No, PriUnit focuses solely on displaying price per unit and does not include features for visual variant selection such as color swatches or image swatches. Color Swatch King is the app for that.
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Both apps claim ease of use. Color Swatch King mentions supaeasy automation and free setup help. PriUnit highlights one-click linking. It's hard to say definitively, but the free support from Color Swatch King makes it sound negligibly easier to configure.
If I sell t-shirts in different sizes and colors, which app should I use?
Color Swatch King: Variants is the more suitable option. It allows you to display the available sizes and colors as visual swatches or buttons, making it easier for customers to select their preferred options. PriUnit is irrelevant for this scenario.
Can I use both apps simultaneously?
Potentially, yes, depending on your product catalog. If you sell both clothing with color/size variants AND items sold by weight (e.g., bulk spices), you *could* use both. However, ensure that they don't conflict with each other on any shared product pages. For stores selling only one type of product, only one of the two would be relevant.
