Color Swatch King: Variants vs Retailed Size Chart & Guidefor Shopify (2026)
Color Swatch King: Variants and Retailed Size Chart & Guide, while both boasting a perfect 5/5 rating, cater to distinct Shopify merchant needs. Color Swatch King: Variants is a comprehensive product variant enhancement tool focused on visual appeal, streamlining product discovery and purchase decisions through color swatches, image swatches, and various customization options for variant selection on both product and collection pages. Its high number of reviews (1959) suggests widespread adoption and potentially more robust feature sets or community support. The app aims to improve conversion rates by making it easier for customers to quickly compare product options and make informed decisions, even offering features like hiding out-of-stock variants and bulk CSV upload functionality. Retailed Size Chart & Guide, on the other hand, focuses entirely on size charts. While no feature information beyond the app name and categories is provided, we can infer it provides merchants with tools to create and display size charts. The significantly lower number of reviews (17) suggests it is either a newer app, a niche solution catering to a smaller market segment (applies to apparel/clothing businesses) or that merchants have experienced issues that prevented widespread adoption. Given its absence of detailed feature information, it is difficult to directly compare its capabilities or ease of use to Color Swatch King: Variants.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily focused on visually enhancing product variants and optimizing the selection process with color and image swatches, Color Swatch King: Variants is the clear choice. Its wealth of features, proven track record with a large number of reviews, and offerings such as bulk upload capabilities and support suggest a more comprehensive solution.
Retailed Size Chart & Guide, while potentially useful for apparel or footwear businesses seeking a dedicated size chart solution, lacks sufficient information to make a direct comparison. If a merchant *only* needs size charts and does not need any variant swatches, Retailed Size Chart & Guide may still be an option if specific size chart functionality is superior. However, the lack of feature descriptions and low review count makes it difficult to assess its true value. If there is any need for variant display enhancement, Color Swatch King is the better choice, especially since it mentions working with size charts.
Common Questions
Can Color Swatch King: Variants also handle size charts?
The description for Color Swatch King states that it "Works with Size charts", suggesting it can integrate or function alongside existing size chart solutions. It doesn't provide a size chart creation tool itself.
Is Retailed Size Chart & Guide a good choice if I sell clothing?
Potentially, yes. However, without feature details, it is hard to determine if it is better than other generic size chart apps on the app store or the ability to use Color Swatch King alongside another size chart. You would need to examine the features of Retailed Size Chart & Guide directly.
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Color Swatch King: Variants likely offers a simpler setup process given its popularity and the claim of "supaeasy variant image swatch". They also mention free app setup from product variation experts. Retailed Size Chart & Guide's setup process is unknown, but with a smaller scope it may be simpler.
Which app is more likely to increase my sales?
Color Swatch King: Variants directly focuses on conversion optimization with variant swatches and quick comparison features which should drive up sales. Retailed Size Chart & Guide can reduce returns caused by sizing issues, which can improve overall profitability. It is less direct in its contribution to sales increase.
Does Color Swatch King: Variants replace the need for any other apps, given that it already works with size charts?
No. Color Swatch King does not create size charts on its own, it works with existing ones. You will still need an app that allows you to create size charts to begin with. If you have one, then Color Swatch King can work with it.
