Commentify: Customer Comments vs TRANH ‑ Social Media Share barfor Shopify (2026)
Commentify: Customer Comments and TRANH ‑ Social Media Share bar both fall under the "Social trust - Other" Shopify category, but they serve fundamentally different purposes. Commentify aims to build community and gather feedback directly on a merchant's site through a commenting system. Its focus is on fostering engagement via product reviews, blog comments, and general feedback. TRANH, on the other hand, concentrates on facilitating social sharing of store content to various social media platforms to broaden reach and drive traffic. Commentify strengths lie in its moderation features, nested replies, and optional anonymous mode. Its ability to adjust to the theme’s styling and the drag-and-drop editor integration simplifies use for merchants comfortable using Shopify 2.0 themes. TRANH's strength is in its comprehensive social media platform support, offering over 30 options. The drag-and-drop theme block functionality and the absence of leftover code after uninstallation are other strong points. Merchants looking to amplify their existing content to social platforms will find TRANH more valuable, while those wanting to build on-site community and gather feedback will find Commentify more useful.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily focused on building an on-site community, collecting customer feedback, and fostering discussions around their products or blog posts, Commentify is the better choice. Its moderation tools, threaded replies, and focus on on-site engagement make it ideal for creating a space where customers can interact directly.
However, if a merchant's main goal is to increase brand awareness and drive traffic from social media platforms, TRANH is the superior option. Its extensive list of supported social networks, easy integration with Shopify themes, and clean uninstallation process make it a powerful tool for social media marketing. Due to the similar number of reviews (and small sample size), the rating difference is not a strong indicator of overall quality; consider your store's focus first.
Common Questions
Which app is better for SEO?
Commentify can indirectly improve SEO by generating more product reviews and blog comments, which can increase relevant keyword content on your site. TRANH primarily helps with visibility through social media sharing but doesn't directly affect on-page SEO.
Which app is easier to install and configure?
Both apps emphasize ease of use. Commentify highlights Shopify 2.0 theme integration with drag-and-drop functionality. TRANH uses theme app extension, ensuring no leftover code, which simplifies uninstallation and theme management.
If I can only choose one, which app should I get?
This depends on your primary goal. Choose Commentify if you want to improve customer engagement on your website and collect feedback. Choose TRANH if you prioritize increasing brand awareness and driving traffic from social media.
Do either of these apps offer analytics?
Commentify explicitly mentions comment monitoring with analytics. TRANH focuses on social sharing and doesn't detail in-app analytics; merchants would need to rely on the analytics provided by the social media platforms themselves.
