Complaint Guru vs LunaChat Conversion AI ChatBotfor Shopify (2026)
Complaint Guru and LunaChat Conversion AI ChatBot both fall under the 'Support - Other' category on Shopify, but cater to fundamentally different customer support needs. Complaint Guru is designed to streamline complaint management by providing a dedicated complaint page and tracking system. Its strength lies in facilitating structured feedback and resolution processes for merchants prioritizing direct handling of customer issues. LunaChat, on the other hand, leverages AI to provide 24/7 customer support through a chatbot, aiming to answer queries, recommend products, and ultimately improve conversion rates. The key difference is their approach to customer interaction. Complaint Guru focuses on resolving existing dissatisfaction, while LunaChat aims to proactively engage customers and prevent issues from arising in the first place. Complaint Guru appeals to merchants wanting direct control and enhanced brand reputation through personalized complaint resolution. LunaChat targets businesses seeking scalability and cost-effectiveness through automated support, especially those with a high volume of customer inquiries and a need for always-on service. The small number of reviews for Complaint Guru compared to LunaChat also suggests it may be a newer or niche app. It's worth noting the significantly different review counts. While Complaint Guru has a perfect 5/5 rating, it's based on only two reviews, which may not be fully representative. LunaChat, despite a lower rating of 3.9/5, has 14 reviews, providing a slightly more robust indication of its performance. The ease of use for both is implied to be high; Complaint Guru emphasizes its seamless integration for customers, while LunaChat boasts a plug-and-play setup.

Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants needing a dedicated system to manage and resolve customer complaints directly, enhancing brand trust and customer retention through personalized handling, Complaint Guru is the better choice. Its focus on streamlined complaint management allows for a structured approach to addressing customer dissatisfaction. However, merchants must be prepared to actively manage and respond to complaints themselves.
In contrast, if the goal is to provide instant, 24/7 customer support, reduce bounce rates, and automate initial customer interactions, LunaChat Conversion AI ChatBot is the more suitable option. While its rating is slightly lower, the higher number of reviews offers a more reliable indication of its performance. It's especially beneficial for businesses with a high volume of customer queries and those looking to scale their customer support operations without significant manual intervention.
Common Questions
Which app is better for improving brand reputation?
Complaint Guru's focus on resolving complaints efficiently may lead to improvements in brand reputation due to a focus on satisfaction in the aftermath of a negative experience. LunaChat's proactive support can also help improve reputation by preventing issues and providing instant assistance.
Which app is easier to set up?
LunaChat advertises itself as requiring no coding/technical skills. Based on the descriptions, both apps appear relatively straightforward. However, LunaChat's 'plug and play setup' explicitly suggests a simpler installation process.
Does Complaint Guru offer automated support like LunaChat?
No, Complaint Guru does not offer automated support. It provides a system for managing and tracking complaints, requiring manual intervention for resolution. LunaChat relies on an AI chatbot to provide automated responses.
Which app is more suitable for a small business with limited resources?
LunaChat may be more suitable for small businesses with limited resources due to its automated customer support, which can handle a large volume of inquiries without requiring dedicated staff. Which app is better for increasing sales conversion?
