Comply vs DHL Duty and Tax Calculatorfor Shopify (2026)
Comply and DHL Duty and Tax Calculator are both Shopify apps in the 'Finances' and 'Taxes' categories, but they serve very different purposes and target distinct merchant needs. Comply is focused on Spanish fiscal compliance for Shopify POS, automating invoice generation, secure data transmission to Hacienda, and error management related to Spanish tax regulations like Verifactu and the upcoming TicketBAI. It's designed to ensure smooth operations within the specific legal requirements of Spain. On the other hand, DHL Duty and Tax Calculator, despite the name, has no other feature details provided. The critical difference lies in their focus. Comply is a location-specific tax compliance tool, while DHL Duty and Tax Calculator's function is unknown beyond calculation. The significant difference in ratings (Comply at 0/5 with no reviews vs. DHL Duty and Tax Calculator at 5/5 with 14 reviews) should be considered a major factor when evaluating the two apps. The absence of reviews for Comply raises concerns about its reliability and functionality, especially given the sensitive nature of tax compliance.

Our Verdict
Based on the available information, it's difficult to make a definitive recommendation for all users. For merchants operating a Shopify POS system in Spain and needing to comply with Verifactu, TicketBAI (when available), and other Spanish fiscal regulations, Comply appears to be the relevant choice, *if* it can demonstrate its reliability once user reviews become available. The lack of reviews is concerning and needs further investigation. However, the DHL Duty and Tax Calculator is too undefined with the current data to make any specific recommendations.
If a merchant is *not* operating in Spain or does not require Spanish fiscal compliance, Comply is likely irrelevant. Given its perfect rating and existing reviews, DHL Duty and Tax Calculator would appear the better choice. However, further details on its function would be required for confident recommendation. The lack of details for DHL's offering, besides high ratings, makes it nearly impossible to advise on it.
