ConnectPOS vs MS Barcode Labels & Generatorfor Shopify (2026)
ConnectPOS and MS Barcode Labels & Generator, while both listed under Shopify's 'Selling in person' and 'Retail' categories, cater to vastly different needs. ConnectPOS is a comprehensive point-of-sale (POS) system designed to unify online and offline retail operations. It focuses on features like inventory management, staff management, loyalty programs, and real-time data synchronization, making it suitable for merchants with both online and brick-and-mortar stores, particularly those with multiple locations. MS Barcode Labels & Generator, on the other hand, is a specialized app centered around barcode and SKU creation, label design, and printing. The core difference lies in their scope. ConnectPOS is a full-fledged POS system addressing a broad spectrum of retail management needs, while MS Barcode Labels & Generator targets a specific pain point: creating and printing barcode labels. The former emphasizes integration between online and offline channels and offers extensive customization options, whereas the latter is focused on simplifying the barcode generation and label printing process, often used by businesses needing physical labels for their products. MS Barcode Label & Generator even integrates with Stocky to streamline label printing from purchase orders and product pages.
