Our Verdict
The choice between Consentmo GDPR Compliance and ECF: Contact Form Builder depends entirely on a merchant's specific needs. If a merchant's priority is to comply with GDPR, CCPA, LGPD, and other privacy regulations, Consentmo is the clear choice. Its comprehensive feature set and automation capabilities will help reduce legal risks and save time. The higher rating and significantly more reviews suggest a strong track record of success in this area.
However, if a merchant is primarily looking for a tool to create custom forms for data collection, customer engagement, and integration with marketing platforms, ECF: Contact Form Builder is the more appropriate option. Its drag-and-drop interface and integration with popular marketing tools make it easy to build and manage forms. While it has fewer reviews, a rating of 4.9/5 indicates a high level of customer satisfaction with its intended purpose. It is NOT suitable for compliance needs.
Common Questions
Does Consentmo handle form creation?
Consentmo is primarily focused on compliance, not form creation. While it manages data requests, it doesn't offer the same form building capabilities as ECF.

ECF: Contact Form Builder likely has a simpler interface focused on drag-and-drop form creation. Consentmo might have a steeper learning curve due to its comprehensive compliance features.
What happens if I use ECF and forget to ask for consent?
You may face legal consequences for violating privacy laws if you collect personal data without consent. Always ensure you comply with relevant data privacy regulations.
Are both apps free?
