Consentmo GDPR Compliance vs Novo: Ticker & Marqueefor Shopify (2026)
Consentmo GDPR Compliance and Novo: Ticker & Marquee, while both falling under the 'Notifications' and 'Banners' Shopify categories, cater to vastly different merchant needs. Consentmo focuses on legal compliance, specifically regarding data privacy regulations like GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and others. It provides tools to automate cookie consent management, data subject access requests (DSAR), and other compliance tasks. Its strength lies in its comprehensive feature set designed to mitigate legal risks associated with data privacy. Target merchants are those prioritizing legal compliance and operating in regions with stringent data protection laws. Novo: Ticker & Marquee, in contrast, focuses on enhancing the visual appeal and communication effectiveness of a Shopify store. It allows merchants to create dynamic announcement bars to highlight promotions, discounts, and updates. Its strength is in its ease of use and customization options, enabling merchants to create visually engaging tickers. The target merchant is one focused on marketing and sales, aiming to improve customer engagement and conversion rates through visual cues. The limited number of reviews for Novo, however, should give potential users pause to consider its reliability.
