Consentmo GDPR Compliance vs SalesPush ‑ Sales Popupfor Shopify (2026)
Consentmo GDPR Compliance and SalesPush ‑ Sales Popup are both Shopify apps falling under the 'Notifications' category, but they address vastly different needs. Consentmo focuses on legal compliance, specifically GDPR, CCPA, and other global privacy regulations. It's designed to help merchants navigate the complex landscape of data privacy, offering features like automated cookie scanning, DSAR pages, and consent management. SalesPush, conversely, is a marketing tool designed to increase sales by leveraging social proof and creating a sense of urgency through real-time sales notifications and custom alerts. The primary difference lies in their core functionality: Consentmo is a risk mitigation tool, ensuring adherence to privacy laws, while SalesPush is a sales acceleration tool. Consentmo targets merchants concerned with legal compliance and potential fines, particularly those operating internationally. SalesPush, on the other hand, caters to merchants seeking to boost conversions and average order value by showcasing product popularity and offering incentives. The difference in review count (1527 vs. 35) suggests a longer market presence for Consentmo and/or a broader need among Shopify merchants for compliance solutions.

Our Verdict
Choosing between Consentmo GDPR Compliance and SalesPush depends entirely on your priorities. If your primary concern is adhering to GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy laws, then Consentmo is the clear choice. Its comprehensive feature set, high rating, and large number of reviews suggest it's a reliable solution for navigating the complexities of data privacy.
However, if your main goal is to increase sales through social proof and urgency, SalesPush is the better option. While it has fewer reviews, its features are specifically designed to create a sense of demand and encourage immediate purchases. For merchants operating internationally, or who prioritize legal compliance over immediate sales gains, Consentmo is indispensable.
Common Questions
Can Consentmo help me increase sales?
While Consentmo's primary focus is compliance, it helps build trust with customers, which can indirectly improve sales. However, it doesn't offer direct sales-boosting features like SalesPush.
Can SalesPush help me with GDPR compliance?
No, SalesPush does not offer any features related to GDPR, CCPA, or other privacy regulations. You will need a dedicated compliance app like Consentmo for that.
Is Consentmo difficult to set up and use?
Consentmo aims to simplify compliance. Its automated features, along with 24/7 support, are designed to make the process as easy as possible. But compliance, by its nature, can be complex.
Is SalesPush a good fit for a new store?
Yes, SalesPush can be especially beneficial for new stores by providing social proof and creating a sense of activity, even when sales volume is still low using manual notifications.
Which app offers better value for money?
Value depends on your needs. If you need GDPR compliance, Consentmo provides essential protection. If you want a sales boost, SalesPush could generate more revenue relative to its cost. Pricing for both would need to be analyzed separately to determine actual ROI.
