ConsignCloud vs DataChamp Order Export XLS/CSVfor Shopify (2026)
ConsignCloud and DataChamp Order Export XLS/CSV are both Shopify apps listed under the 'Inventory' category, but they serve drastically different purposes and target distinct merchant needs. ConsignCloud focuses on streamlining consignment business operations, particularly vendor management, payouts, and inventory tracking related to consignment items. It aims to simplify the complexities of managing consignors through features like instant email notifications, a consignor portal, and integrated payouts. DataChamp, on the other hand, is a data export tool that provides merchants with customizable and automated CSV/Excel reports for various Shopify data, including orders, products, customers, and metafields. DataChamp's strength lies in its extensive data customization and automation capabilities. It offers over 500 fields to choose from and allows scheduled deliveries to multiple platforms like Google Drive, FTP, and email, catering to businesses that require detailed data analysis, accounting integration, or efficient fulfillment processes. While ConsignCloud emphasizes vendor communication and management within a consignment model, DataChamp prioritizes data extraction and manipulation for internal reporting and external integrations. The significant difference in the number of reviews suggests DataChamp has broader appeal across the Shopify ecosystem due to its general utility, while ConsignCloud targets a niche market.

Our Verdict
The choice between ConsignCloud and DataChamp hinges entirely on the merchant's business model and specific needs. ConsignCloud is ideal for businesses operating under a consignment model. Its features are tailored to simplify the complexities of managing consignors, including tracking inventory, managing payouts, and facilitating communication. If you're *not* a consignment store, ConsignCloud is completely irrelevant.
DataChamp is better suited for merchants seeking to extract and analyze Shopify data for various purposes, such as accounting, inventory management, or marketing analysis. It's particularly useful for merchants who require advanced reporting, integration with external systems, or custom data manipulations. While DataChamp has a higher rating and more reviews, it addresses a broader need. If your priority is consignment management, ConsignCloud is the clear choice, despite its lower rating and fewer reviews. If you need comprehensive data exporting, DataChamp is the winner.
Common Questions
Does ConsignCloud offer reports like DataChamp?
ConsignCloud focuses on vendor management and likely offers reports related to consignment sales and payouts. However, it doesn't provide the same level of customizable data export functionality as DataChamp, which exports comprehensive Shopify data like orders, products, and customer information.
Can DataChamp automate consignor payouts?
No, DataChamp is a data export tool and does not directly manage or automate payouts. ConsignCloud, on the other hand, offers integrated payout features designed specifically for consignment businesses.
Is ConsignCloud suitable for businesses selling only their own products?
No, ConsignCloud is specifically designed for consignment businesses that manage inventory and payouts for multiple vendors. It's not relevant for businesses selling only their own products.
Does DataChamp support real-time data updates in its reports?
DataChamp automates scheduled exports, but the updates are not real-time. The frequency of the updates depends on the schedule configured in the app (e.g., daily, weekly). There is no indication that it provides live, streaming data.
Which app is easier to set up and use?
While subjective, ConsignCloud likely has a simpler setup process due to its focused functionality. DataChamp's extensive customization options may require more time and technical expertise to configure reports according to specific needs. However, the intuitive editor mentioned in DataChamp's description suggests an attempt to simplify this process.
