Contribe vs Earthr Appfor Shopify (2026)
Contribe and Earthr App both operate in the Shopify donations category, aiming to help merchants integrate charitable giving into their online stores. However, they differ significantly in their approach and maturity. Contribe positions itself as a comprehensive solution for building community and enhancing brand loyalty through impactful giving. It offers curated, vetted Impact Projects, performance tracking, and a high-touch support team. This suggests a focus on merchants seeking a strategic, data-driven approach to corporate social responsibility (CSR). Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants seeking a comprehensive, data-driven approach to integrating charitable giving into their business strategy, Contribe appears to be the stronger choice. Its established rating, positive reviews, curated impact projects, and performance tracking provide a more robust solution. Contribe also offers more comprehensive support to its users. However, for merchants looking for a quick and easy way to offer customers a simple sustainability option at checkout, and who are primarily focused on environmental efforts, Earthr App could be a viable starting point. The lack of reviews, however, should be considered, and careful monitoring of user experience after installation would be prudent.
