Contribe vs MyFavoritofor Shopify (2026)
Contribe and MyFavorito both aim to increase sales and customer loyalty by integrating a charitable/sponsorship aspect into the shopping experience. Contribe focuses on general social impact through curated donation projects, appealing to merchants seeking to align with broader social causes. MyFavorito, conversely, centers on supporting local sports clubs chosen by the customers themselves, targeting merchants aiming to connect with their customers on a personal and emotional level related to sports. Contribe offers a more structured and vetted approach to charitable giving, whereas MyFavorito provides a flexible sponsorship program tied directly to customer preferences. The key difference lies in the type of 'good' they facilitate – social impact versus sports club support.

Our Verdict
Contribe is the better choice for merchants seeking to associate their brand with established, vetted social impact initiatives. Its high rating and positive reviews suggest a reliable and effective platform. The curated impact projects and performance dashboard provide a structured approach to charitable giving, making it appealing to businesses seeking transparency and measurable results. MyFavorito, while potentially appealing to sports-focused businesses, suffers from a complete lack of user feedback. Without any reviews, it is difficult to assess its functionality or reliability. Therefore, unless a merchant has a very specific sports-related audience and is willing to take a significant risk on an unproven app, Contribe is the safer and likely more effective option.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Both apps claim to be easy to use, but without reviews for MyFavorito, it is difficult to compare. Contribe's 'effortless' claim, combined with high reviews, suggests a smoother onboarding experience.

MyFavorito offers more control to the *customer*, as they choose which sports club receives the donation. Contribe offers control to the *merchant* who selects from a curated list.
Which app is more suitable for a national brand?
Contribe is likely more suitable for a national brand as it allows them to select impact projects aligned with their brand values on a larger scale. MyFavorito is geared towards more local or community-based initiatives.
Which app is more transparent?
Contribe highlights transparency by providing a performance dashboard for tracking impact and KPIs. MyFavorito lacks similar features mentioned in its description.
What are the potential downsides of each app?
The potential downside of Contribe is that the curated projects may not resonate with all customers' individual passions. The major downside of MyFavorito is the lack of reviews and proof of concept, creating a higher risk for the merchant.
