Convbox Tracking vs Nabu: Google Ads Retargetingfor Shopify (2026)
Convbox Tracking and Nabu: Google Ads Retargeting are both Shopify apps in the 'Ads' category, but they target different advertising platforms and address distinct merchant needs. Convbox Tracking focuses on providing comprehensive, multi-platform ad tracking, particularly addressing the challenges introduced by iOS 14+ and ensuring accurate data is sent to Facebook, TikTok, and Google Ads. It aims to provide server-side tracking capabilities previously only accessible to larger brands. Nabu: Google Ads Retargeting, in contrast, specializes in simplifying the process of setting up and maintaining Google Ads retargeting pixels, especially dynamic retargeting, emphasizing ease of use and automatic updates in response to Google's code changes. Convbox Tracking's value proposition is centered around enhanced data accuracy and control over ad tracking across multiple platforms, appealing to merchants concerned with data loss due to privacy updates and those seeking to optimize their ad spend. Nabu's primary focus is on simplifying the Google Ads retargeting setup and maintenance, aiming to eliminate the technical hurdles associated with manual pixel installation and updates. It streamlines the process for merchants wanting to leverage Google's dynamic retargeting capabilities without coding knowledge. While both apps aim to improve ad performance, Convbox Tracking offers a broader, more technical solution for comprehensive tracking, while Nabu provides a more focused, user-friendly solution specifically for Google Ads retargeting.

Our Verdict
For merchants who require robust, cross-platform ad tracking, particularly addressing the challenges presented by iOS 14+ and requiring integrations for Facebook, TikTok, and Google Ads, Convbox Tracking is the better choice. Its focus on server-side tracking, conversion API integration, and comprehensive features make it suitable for businesses aiming to maximize the accuracy and effectiveness of their ad campaigns across multiple platforms.
However, if the primary focus is solely on Google Ads retargeting, and the merchant seeks a simple, one-click solution that handles pixel installation and updates automatically, Nabu: Google Ads Retargeting is the more appropriate option. Its ease of use and specific focus on Google Ads dynamic retargeting make it ideal for smaller businesses or those lacking technical expertise in ad pixel management. While Convbox Tracking has a perfect rating, the low review count makes it less reliable than Nabu with its larger review base.
