Conversion Bear Trust Badges vs RT: Smooth Scroll To Topfor Shopify (2026)
Conversion Bear Trust Badges and RT: Smooth Scroll To Top, while both under the 'Design elements' category on Shopify, serve fundamentally different purposes and cater to different merchant needs. Conversion Bear focuses on building customer trust and increasing conversion rates by offering a wide range of customizable trust badges and payment icons, which merchants can strategically place across their store. In contrast, RT: Smooth Scroll To Top is designed to improve user experience by providing a simple and convenient way for customers to navigate long pages, particularly in themes lacking this functionality by default. Conversion Bear's strength lies in its large library of badges (300+), extensive customization options, and focus on conveying security and reliability to potential customers. It targets merchants concerned about cart abandonment and seeking to instill confidence in their brand. RT: Smooth Scroll To Top, conversely, is geared towards improving site usability, particularly for stores with lengthy product descriptions or blog posts, making navigation easier and potentially leading to increased engagement. The choice between the two depends heavily on the merchant's specific priorities: trust building versus usability enhancement.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily focused on addressing customer concerns regarding security and building trust to boost conversion rates, Conversion Bear Trust Badges is the clear choice. The extensive badge library and customization options provide significant control over visual branding and messaging. However, if the main objective is to enhance user navigation on stores with long pages and address limitations within the existing Shopify theme, RT: Smooth Scroll To Top offers a simple and effective solution.
Merchants who notice high bounce rates from long product pages could especially benefit from RT: Smooth Scroll To Top. While both apps are highly rated, Conversion Bear's substantially larger review count might suggest a broader appeal and potentially greater impact on key business metrics like conversion rates. Ultimately, the ideal app depends on the individual store's specific needs and priorities.
