In 2026, Shopify merchants deciding between 'ConvertMate: SEO, Feeds & CRO' and 'Metafields Guru' face a choice between a multi-faceted tool and a highly specialized solution. ConvertMate positions itself as a broader marketing app, encompassing SEO, feeds, and Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO), but its lower rating and smaller review count suggest it may not be as well-received or comprehensive as its scope implies. Our Verdict
Metafields Guru emerges as the stronger choice for merchants who understand the power of metafields and need a robust, well-supported tool for managing them effectively. Its high rating, numerous reviews, and specific features like bulk editing, no-code storefront display, and data migration tools make it a clear winner for this specific use case. ConvertMate may be suitable for merchants looking for a more general marketing app, but its lower rating and lack of feature detail raise concerns about its effectiveness and reliability compared to the specialized and highly-rated Metafields Guru. If a merchant needs help with SEO, Feeds and CRO, other apps with better reviews should be considered.
