Our Verdict
For merchants prioritizing simplicity and a quick setup of a basic affiliate ambassador program with discount codes, ConvertO Affiliate Ambassador is the better choice. Its focus on automation and ease of use makes it a practical option. However, if a merchant seeks a more comprehensive solution encompassing diverse incentives, UGC management, and broader reach, Rave: Referral, Affiliate, UGC is more suitable, despite having fewer reviews. Rave's gamified incentives and end-to-end automation could be more effective at driving engagement, albeit potentially requiring a slightly steeper learning curve and initial setup.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Both apps claim easy setup. ConvertO emphasizes getting 'up and running in minutes', while Rave promises setup 'in less than 15 minutes'. In practice, setup complexity can vary depending on your specific needs, but they both prioritize ease of use.
Which app offers better reporting?
Both apps offer reporting features. ConvertO automatically tracks sales and commissions, while Rave offers 'robust reporting.' Without specifics, it's hard to declare a winner. Review demos and example reports to find out which metrics and visualisations better fit your business.
What type of incentive structure is best, discounts or cash/free items?
The best incentive structure depends on your target audience and product margins. Discounts are typically simpler to implement and manage. Cash rewards and free gifts can be more enticing but require careful planning to avoid eroding profitability.
How important is UGC, and does Rave truly deliver?
UGC is crucial for building trust and social proof. Rave stands out in offering UGC management. If you don't need user generated content, ConvertO may suit you better.
Which app is a better long-term choice as my company grows?
Rave's wider range of features (affiliate, referral, and UGC) might be better for long-term growth. ConvertO's simplicity is good for smaller scale, but scalability is unknown.
