Our Verdict
For merchants prioritizing a proven and feature-rich GDPR/CCPA compliance solution, Cookie Consent by CookieFirst appears to be the better choice. Its positive ratings and comprehensive feature set, including automatic cookie scans, consent logging, and multilingual support, provide greater assurance of compliance. While Mega GDPR Cookie Bar might seem appealing due to the possibility of lower cost (though pricing is unspecified), the complete lack of reviews or feature details makes it a risky choice, especially considering the potential legal consequences of non-compliance. Merchants should proceed with extreme caution and investigate further before using Mega GDPR Cookie Bar. If budget is an extreme constraint, and only a very basic banner is needed, Mega GDPR Cookie Bar might be considered *after* thorough research, *if* a free trial is available to assess its functionality and GDPR compliance.
