Our Verdict
For merchants who require a fully managed cookie consent solution, encompassing automatic scanning, consent logging, and integration with Shopify's privacy features, Cookie Consent by CookieFirst is the clear choice. Its focus on comprehensive compliance helps ensure adherence to GDPR and CCPA regulations. However, merchants seeking a simple and lightweight cookie banner solution, and who are comfortable manually managing cookie blocking based on user consent, might find Scala GDPR EU Cookie Banner a more streamlined and potentially less expensive option. Essentially, the choice depends on the merchant's willingness to handle the technical complexities of GDPR and CCPA themselves or prefer a more automated solution.
