Cookie Manager by Usercentrics vs Trustoo Pop ups, Email Popupsfor Shopify (2026)
In 2026, Shopify merchants choosing between Cookie Manager by Usercentrics and Trustoo Pop ups, Email Popups (SendWILL) face vastly different options. Cookie Manager appears to be a focused app managing cookie consent, though the extremely low rating (2.8/5) and negligible review count (4) raise serious concerns about its functionality and user satisfaction. Its positioning is clear – cookie management – but its execution seems questionable based on available data. Trustoo Pop ups, Email Popups (SendWILL), on the other hand, presents itself as a comprehensive e-commerce growth platform. It focuses on email list building, email marketing automation, and sales optimization via pop-ups and automated email sequences. Boasting a perfect 5/5 rating across over 7000 reviews, it suggests a high degree of user satisfaction and a mature, well-received feature set. It positions itself as an all-in-one solution for merchants looking to grow their email list, automate marketing, and drive sales through pop-ups and email marketing. Choosing between the two boils down to very different needs. Cookie Manager addresses a specific (albeit crucial) area of website compliance, while Trustoo/SendWILL offers a broader suite of tools for marketing and sales automation.

Our Verdict
Given the available data, Trustoo Pop ups, Email Popups (SendWILL) is the clear choice for most Shopify merchants seeking to grow their business through email marketing and pop-ups. Its high rating, large number of reviews, comprehensive feature set, and focus on ease of use and support make it a compelling option. The Cookie Manager app may be suitable only for stores with very specific cookie compliance needs, but its poor rating and minimal reviews raise serious concerns.
Merchants should thoroughly investigate the Cookie Manager app before considering it, potentially looking for alternative cookie management solutions with more positive reviews and a better track record. For email marketing and popups, Trustoo/SendWILL appears to be a much stronger contender, although it is important to note that 'Trustoo' has since been re-branded as 'Ecomsend'.
