Our Verdict
Given the information available, Ekookie ‑ Consent V2 ready is the clear choice for most Shopify merchants in 2026. Its perfect rating, coupled with its explicit focus on GDPR compliance, user experience, and ease of use, makes it a far more attractive option than CookieScript. The latter's extremely low rating and lack of detailed information raise serious concerns about its reliability and effectiveness.
Merchants who prioritize a user-friendly, customizable, and reliable cookie consent solution should choose Ekookie. CookieScript might only be suitable for merchants with very specific, unstated needs and a high tolerance for risk, considering its poor performance reviews.
