CostIQ vs InSyncer for MYOB Acumaticafor Shopify (2026)
CostIQ and InSyncer for MYOB Acumatica both fall under the ERP category on Shopify, but they address vastly different needs. CostIQ focuses on internal cost tracking and inventory management, specifically targeting manufacturers and assemblers who need to understand the cost of materials and production. It aims to replace manual cost calculations with real-time data and insights to improve profitability. In contrast, InSyncer focuses on integration between Shopify and MYOB Acumatica, a specific ERP system. Its core value proposition is automating the synchronization of pricing, inventory, and orders between the two platforms, streamlining operations for businesses already using MYOB Acumatica. The fundamental difference lies in their purpose: CostIQ is an internal management tool, while InSyncer is an integration tool. CostIQ provides cost-related insights and workflow automation within the Shopify ecosystem. InSyncer links Shopify to an external ERP, providing automation and synchronization between the online store and the back-end accounting and inventory management system. Given that CostIQ has no reviews, and InSyncer has perfect reviews, and given that it's 2026, the data points to InSyncer being the far more mature and reliable app. CostIQ's target market is more specific, but without customer support it's difficult to recommend.

Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants who are already using MYOB Acumatica, InSyncer is the clear choice. It offers a direct integration that automates critical business processes. The 5/5 rating with several reviews suggests it's a reliable and well-regarded solution. CostIQ, on the other hand, caters to a more specific need: internal cost tracking and inventory valuation, and given its complete lack of ratings, it is not recommendable unless a merchant has ample risk tolerance. If a merchant needs that functionality and isn't using MYOB Acumatica, CostIQ might be worth investigating *if* they're willing to be an early adopter, but the lack of social proof should strongly caution any potential users.
