Cozy Country Redirect vs Geolocation & Markets—Selectyfor Shopify (2026)
Cozy Country Redirect and Geolocation & Markets—Selecty are both Shopify apps designed to help merchants expand their businesses internationally using geolocation features. Cozy Country Redirect presents itself as a complete geo-apps package emphasizing customizable pop-ups, Google Analytics integration, announcement bars, and IP whitelisting/blocking. It targets merchants needing granular control over visitor access and personalized content based on location, with features like store redirects, currency switching, and content customization tailored to specific countries. Geolocation & Markets—Selecty, on the other hand, focuses specifically on enhancing the Shopify Markets and Global-e Managed Markets experience. It emphasizes automatic market recommendations, currency and language switching, and market selectors. It is more streamlined towards optimizing existing market setups and creating a seamless experience within the Shopify Markets framework. Therefore, Geolocation & Markets—Selecty will likely appeal more to businesses already invested in Shopify Markets and looking to improve customer experience within that ecosystem, while Cozy Country Redirect offers broader, standalone geo-targeting functionality. The major difference lies in the target usage. Cozy Country Redirect provides extensive and customizable features beyond the Shopify Markets framework. Our Verdict
Geolocation & Markets—Selecty, with its perfect 5-star rating, is the clear choice for merchants deeply invested in the Shopify Markets ecosystem seeking to optimize their existing setups. Its focus on enhancing market recommendations, currency switching, and seamless integration within the Shopify Markets framework makes it the superior choice for that specific use case. However, Cozy Country Redirect is better suited for merchants needing more comprehensive and standalone geo-targeting features beyond the limitations of Shopify Markets, especially if granular control over visitor access (blocking and whitelisting), customizable pop-ups, and Google Analytics integration are paramount. Merchants needing specific content personalization based on location also benefits more with Cozy Country Redirect's advanced customizations.
Ultimately, if your primary goal is to refine your Shopify Markets strategy and provide a smoother experience for international customers within that framework, Geolocation & Markets—Selecty is the recommended option. If you require broader geo-targeting control and customizations outside of the Shopify Markets environment, choose Cozy Country Redirect, but keep in mind it has a lower rating.
