CP: Order Editing & Upsells vs Lucent ‑ OTP Login & Notifyfor Shopify (2026)
CP: Order Editing & Upsells and Lucent ‑ OTP Login & Notify, while sharing the 'Accounts and login' category on Shopify, cater to drastically different merchant needs. CP focuses on post-purchase customer service and AOV optimization, empowering customers to self-manage their orders, reducing support load, and offering upsells. It targets merchants experiencing high support ticket volumes or looking to increase AOV post-purchase. Lucent, on the other hand, prioritizes a seamless and secure login experience through OTP authentication and enhances customer engagement with automated notifications via WhatsApp and SMS. Lucent aims to improve login conversion rates and keep customers informed. Its focus on SMS and WhatsApp notifications makes it well-suited for businesses prioritizing mobile communication and customer engagement. Therefore, the 'Accounts and login' category is somewhat misleading as the apps don't directly compete on functionality. They both contribute to a better customer experience, but in distinct ways: one through streamlined post-purchase order management, and the other through simplified account access and proactive notifications.
