CP: Order Editing & Upsells vs MergeIt ‑ Combine Merge Ordersfor Shopify (2026)
CP: Order Editing & Upsells and MergeIt ‑ Combine Merge Orders both address order editing needs on Shopify, but cater to very different merchant pain points. CP: Order Editing & Upsells focuses on empowering customers with self-service order editing capabilities after purchase. This app aims to reduce support tickets and increase AOV through features like post-purchase upsells, address validation, and direct order modifications by the customer. The primary value proposition is improved customer experience and reduced operational overhead. The ideal user is likely a larger merchant with significant order volume and customer service demands. MergeIt ‑ Combine Merge Orders, conversely, addresses a more specific need: combining multiple orders from the same customer into a single shipment. Its feature set is likely more focused on back-end order management and fulfillment efficiency, though specifics are lacking. While both apps have perfect ratings, CP: Order Editing & Upsells has more than double the number of reviews, suggesting wider adoption. CP: Order Editing & Upsells emphasizes customer empowerment and AOV improvement, while MergeIt ‑ Combine Merge Orders is oriented around streamlining order fulfillment. If a merchant is struggling with high support ticket volumes related to order changes and wants to increase AOV through upsells, CP: Order Editing & Upsells is the clear choice. If the main challenge is fulfillment complexity arising from multiple orders to the same customer, further investigation into MergeIt ‑ Combine Merge Orders' capabilities is warranted, although the description lacks details.
