CP: Order Editing & Upsells vs VerifyItfor Shopify (2026)
CP: Order Editing & Upsells and VerifyIt are Shopify apps targeting distinct areas of post-purchase customer and order management. CP: Order Editing & Upsells focuses on improving customer experience and increasing AOV by empowering customers with self-service order editing capabilities, address validation, and post-purchase upsells. Its aim is to reduce support costs and streamline order fulfillment. Conversely, VerifyIt addresses the problem of fraudulent Cash On Delivery (COD) orders by implementing a one-time passcode (OTP) verification system. CP: Order Editing & Upsells offers features like instant order cancellations, automated refunds/store credit, and 3PL/WMS integrations to improve operations. It aims to benefit merchants by increasing AOV and reducing support overhead. VerifyIt's functionality is much narrower, focusing exclusively on COD order verification to prevent financial loss due to fake orders. Its target audience is merchants heavily reliant on COD payments and susceptible to fraud. However, it lacks customer reviews and ratings, while CP: Order Editing & Upsells has a perfect rating despite low review volume.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily focused on enhancing the customer experience, reducing support tickets, and increasing average order value, CP: Order Editing & Upsells is likely the better choice. Its comprehensive feature set empowers customers, automates tasks, and integrates with other systems. The 5/5 rating, although based on a small sample, is encouraging. However, it may be worth considering the app's pricing since the value proposition is larger.
For merchants struggling specifically with a high volume of fraudulent Cash on Delivery (COD) orders, VerifyIt offers a targeted solution. However, the complete lack of reviews makes it risky. Merchants considering VerifyIt should proceed with caution and potentially contact the developer for more information and consider a trial period if available. If COD fraud is not a significant issue, CP: Order Editing & Upsells offers broader benefits.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to use?
Based on the descriptions, VerifyIt is likely simpler to use as it has one primary function. CP: Order Editing & Upsells, while more feature-rich, might require more configuration to tailor the editing window, allowed edits, and upsell offers.
Does CP: Order Editing & Upsells prevent fraud?
Indirectly, yes. The address validation feature can help flag potentially fraudulent addresses. Also, allowing customers to cancel instantly reduces support costs and cancels any fraudulent order before fulfillment.
Is VerifyIt necessary if I don't offer Cash on Delivery?
No. VerifyIt is specifically designed to prevent fraud related to Cash on Delivery orders and is not relevant if you do not offer this payment method.
Which app is better for increasing revenue?
CP: Order Editing & Upsells is directly designed to increase AOV through post-purchase upsells. VerifyIt, while preventing losses from fraudulent orders, does not directly increase revenue.
How do the "Accounts and login" categories apply to each app?
For CP: Order Editing & Upsells, it likely relates to the customer's ability to edit their order after logging into their account (or potentially via a guest link). For VerifyIt, it applies to store owners being able to log in and check verified orders, though the description doesn't explicitly mention that login functionality.
