CP24 Advanced Wishlist vs SocialSender Facebook DMsfor Shopify (2026)
CP24 Advanced Wishlist and SocialSender Facebook DMs are both Shopify apps, but they serve vastly different purposes. CP24 Advanced Wishlist focuses on improving customer engagement and driving sales through wishlist functionality and web push notifications. It aims to increase conversions by reminding customers about items they've shown interest in, providing price drop alerts, and leveraging web push marketing. SocialSender Facebook DMs, on the other hand, concentrates on leveraging Facebook and Instagram direct messages to build subscriber lists and send promotional offers. It seeks to improve engagement and drive higher click-through rates compared to email marketing by reaching customers directly within social media platforms. The core difference lies in their channel of communication and core function. CP24 Advanced Wishlist uses web push notifications based on wishlisted items, while SocialSender Facebook DMs uses Facebook and Instagram direct messages to reach subscribers. CP24 targets shoppers who browse products but don't immediately purchase, while SocialSender aims to engage customers who already interact with the store's social media presence. Merchants must consider which channel and strategy aligns better with their target audience and marketing goals.

Our Verdict
For merchants seeking to recapture the attention of window shoppers and convert potential buyers who haven't yet committed to a purchase, CP24 Advanced Wishlist is the stronger option. Its established wishlist functionality, combined with personalized web push notifications based on item interest, offers a direct path to increased sales. The positive rating, although based on limited reviews, suggests a satisfactory user experience.
Conversely, if a merchant's primary focus is building and engaging a community on Facebook and Instagram, and they have an active social media presence, SocialSender Facebook DMs might be more suitable. However, the lack of reviews raises concerns about reliability and effectiveness. Merchants considering SocialSender should proceed with caution and prioritize thorough testing to validate its claims of superior click-through rates compared to email.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Without user reviews for SocialSender, it's impossible to definitively say. CP24 Advanced Wishlist, with its established user base (albeit small), likely has more readily available documentation and support resources.
Which app is better for increasing average order value?
CP24 Advanced Wishlist potentially influences average order value indirectly by reminding customers about multiple items on their wishlist, prompting them to purchase more at once. SocialSender's direct offers might lead to quicker sales, but not necessarily larger orders.
Which app requires more ongoing maintenance?
Both apps require ongoing maintenance. CP24 Advanced Wishlist needs regular review of analytics and adjustment of notification strategies. SocialSender requires continuous creation and management of engaging DM content and careful adherence to social media platform policies.
Which app is more compliant with privacy regulations?
Both apps require user consent to send notifications. CP24 Advanced Wishlist relies on web push opt-ins, while SocialSender depends on opt-in requests within Facebook and Instagram. Merchants are responsible for ensuring compliance with privacy regulations like GDPR and CCPA, regardless of the app used.
If I only have budget for one, which should I choose?
If you lack a strong social media presence, CP24 Advanced Wishlist is the safer bet due to its functional focus on wishlists and wider applicability to all website visitors. However, if your social media engagement is high and you need a new way to monetize it, SocialSender might be worth a try.
