Our Verdict
For merchants needing granular control over the entire checkout process, including advanced validation rules, shipping and payment method manipulation, and fraud protection (particularly COD orders), Craftly Checkout Rules is the better choice. Its comprehensive features and rule-based system offer significant customization. However, this comes with potentially higher complexity.
If the primary goal is to quickly and easily optimize payment options to improve checkout conversion, and the complexity of advanced checkout rules is unnecessary, Payment Rules Hide PaymentHero is the recommended solution. Its focus on payment method sorting, hiding, and renaming, combined with a user-friendly interface and substantial review count, makes it a compelling choice for merchants seeking a simple, effective solution.
