CRM PLUS on LINE vs SMS Alertfor Shopify (2026)
CRM PLUS on LINE and SMS Alert both aim to enhance customer communication and security on Shopify, but they employ vastly different channels and target different audiences. CRM PLUS on LINE focuses on leveraging the LINE messaging app, primarily used in Asian markets, for marketing automation and customer engagement. It allows merchants to send targeted messages based on customer data, automate abandoned cart recovery, and even integrate LINE Login for Shopify Plus users. SMS Alert, conversely, utilizes SMS messaging for order updates, security verification (OTP), and abandoned cart recovery. It emphasizes direct communication via SMS, which has wider global reach but different cultural acceptance levels than LINE.

Our Verdict
CRM PLUS on LINE is the better choice for merchants primarily targeting customers in Asian markets where LINE is a dominant messaging platform, especially if they are on Shopify Plus and can utilize LINE Login. Its higher rating and significantly more reviews suggest stronger user satisfaction and potentially better functionality for its specific use case. SMS Alert is more suitable for merchants needing to reach a wider global audience who prefer SMS updates, particularly if they require SMS-based security features like OTP login. However, the low rating and minimal reviews are concerning and warrant further investigation before commitment. Consider that SMS Alert is focused on markets like India, where DLT compliance is required.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
CRM PLUS on LINE offers initial setup support, suggesting a potentially complex setup process that they address with assistance. SMS Alert highlights seamless Shopify Flow integration, implying an easier setup for users familiar with that platform.
Which app is better for abandoned cart recovery?
Both apps offer abandoned cart recovery features. The 'better' choice depends on your target audience and their preferred communication channel. LINE might be more effective in LINE-dominant regions, while SMS could be better globally.
Which app provides better security features?
SMS Alert explicitly includes OTP login and OTP for cart, offering enhanced security features compared to CRM PLUS on LINE, which focuses more on marketing and communication.
Which app is better for Shopify Plus users?
CRM PLUS on LINE has a specific integration for Shopify Plus, namely LINE Login. This makes it a more compelling option for Shopify Plus users looking to leverage LINE's ecosystem.
What happens if my customers don't use LINE or SMS?
This is a critical consideration. CRM PLUS on LINE is useless to customers not using LINE. SMS Alert has broader reach, but customers may still not have SMS enabled or prefer other communication methods. A multi-channel communication strategy may be needed.
