CRM PLUS on LINE vs WhatsApp Connect ‑ Nextelfor Shopify (2026)
CRM PLUS on LINE and WhatsApp Connect ‑ Nextel offer Shopify merchants communication solutions, but target different platforms and use cases. CRM PLUS on LINE focuses on leveraging the LINE messaging app, popular in some regions, and emphasizes integration with Shopify customer data like tags for targeted messaging, alongside features like rich menus and abandoned cart recovery. It boasts a perfect 5/5 rating based on 38 reviews, suggesting positive user experiences, and offers initial setup support. Critically, LINE Login for social login is limited to Shopify Plus merchants. WhatsApp Connect - Nextel, on the other hand, leverages WhatsApp for a wider range of communication needs, including marketing campaigns, order updates, and customer support, offering a more holistic solution. It emphasizes features like AI-powered customer support, collaborative inbox, and bulk campaigns. The major drawback for Nextel is the lack of reviews and a 0/5 rating, indicating it might be a newer app or one with potential unresolved issues. Nextel also highlights features like CoD double confirmation to reduce returns and a WhatsApp chat widget, not offered by CRM PLUS on LINE. The choice between the two greatly depends on the merchant's target customer base, preferred communication channel (LINE vs. WhatsApp), and risk tolerance given the significant difference in user feedback.

Our Verdict
For merchants with a strong customer base on LINE, particularly in regions where LINE is the primary messaging app, and who are on Shopify Plus and want LINE login, CRM PLUS on LINE is a good option, supported by positive reviews. However, merchants should note that LINE usage varies by region.
For merchants seeking a more comprehensive solution encompassing marketing, sales, and customer support on WhatsApp, WhatsApp Connect ‑ Nextel seems like a viable contender, especially given its AI-powered support and return reduction features. However, the complete absence of reviews makes it a risky choice until more merchants provide feedback. If a merchant is risk-averse, waiting for reviews or considering alternatives might be prudent. Also, Nextel appears geared toward higher-volume merchants focused on automation and AI.
