Crossborderit IOSS and DDP vs DataChamp Order Export XLS/CSVfor Shopify (2026)
Crossborderit IOSS and DDP and DataChamp Order Export XLS/CSV are both Shopify apps listed under the 'Finances' category, but they address drastically different needs. Crossborderit focuses on simplifying IOSS compliance for merchants shipping low-value goods to Europe. Its value proposition lies in automating sales tax reporting and payments, potentially lowering compliance costs for merchants selling into the EU. On the other hand, DataChamp is designed for data management and reporting, enabling merchants to export and analyze various Shopify data points, including orders, products, and customer information. DataChamp's strength lies in its flexibility and customization options for data exports. It targets merchants who require in-depth reporting, integration with other systems (like accounting or ERP), or need to automate data sharing through scheduled exports. Conversely, Crossborderit's strength resides in its specialized focus on IOSS compliance, but the very low rating and low number of reviews should give merchants pause. Its simplified, albeit potentially flawed, approach to IOSS could appeal to smaller merchants overwhelmed by the complexities of EU VAT regulations, if the reviews were more positive.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with IOSS compliance and shipping low-value goods to the EU, Crossborderit *might* seem appealing due to its specific focus, but the extremely low rating and small number of reviews raise serious concerns. Thorough investigation and possibly alternative IOSS solutions should be considered before implementation.
DataChamp is the clear choice for merchants who need robust data export and reporting capabilities. Its high rating, larger review count, extensive customization options, and automation features make it a more reliable and versatile tool for a broader range of merchants who require in-depth data analysis or system integrations.
Common Questions
Which app is better for EU VAT compliance?
Crossborderit is specifically designed for IOSS compliance, but its extremely low rating raises significant doubts about its reliability and effectiveness. Consider alternatives with better ratings and more reviews.

Yes, DataChamp can export order and financial data in CSV or Excel format, which can be imported into accounting software for reconciliation and analysis.
Does Crossborderit handle all EU VAT requirements?
Crossborderit focuses on IOSS, which simplifies VAT for low-value goods. It might not cover all EU VAT obligations for all types of sales or goods.
How customizable are the data exports in DataChamp?
DataChamp offers extensive customization, allowing you to select from over 500 fields, create custom columns, apply filters, and schedule automated exports.
Is either app suitable for high-volume Shopify stores?
