Crossborderit IOSS and DDP vs Report Toaster: Custom Reportsfor Shopify (2026)
Crossborderit IOSS and DDP and Report Toaster: Custom Reports serve very different needs for Shopify merchants in 2026. Crossborderit focuses on simplifying international sales to Europe by automating IOSS compliance, handling VAT, and offering a flat fee structure. It targets merchants specifically selling low-value goods to European customers who need a streamlined way to manage IOSS regulations. However, it suffers from an extremely low rating and very few reviews, indicating potential issues with user satisfaction or functionality. Report Toaster, on the other hand, is a comprehensive reporting and analytics app, enabling merchants to create custom reports, track real-time data across multiple stores, and automate report delivery. Its high rating and substantial number of reviews suggest a reliable and well-regarded tool. Report Toaster caters to a broader audience, namely any Shopify merchant seeking in-depth data analysis and reporting capabilities to optimize their business.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with simplifying IOSS compliance and VAT payments for European sales of low-value goods, Crossborderit IOSS and DDP might seem appealing on paper. However, the extremely low rating and small number of reviews raise significant concerns about its reliability and user-friendliness. Unless those issues are demonstrably addressed, it is difficult to recommend it. Report Toaster: Custom Reports is the clear choice for merchants seeking robust reporting and analytics capabilities. Its high rating, large number of positive reviews, and extensive feature set make it a much safer and more versatile option for gaining actionable insights from their Shopify data. If IOSS compliance is not a primary concern, Report Toaster is the superior app.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to use?
Given its significantly higher rating and larger number of reviews, Report Toaster is likely easier to use than Crossborderit IOSS and DDP. Crossborderit's low rating suggests potential usability or functionality issues.
Which app is better for international sales?
Crossborderit specifically addresses international sales to Europe through IOSS compliance. However, Report Toaster can also provide valuable insights into international sales trends through its custom reporting capabilities.
Can Report Toaster handle VAT reporting?
Report Toaster, with its custom reporting capabilities, *could* be used to generate reports that *inform* VAT reporting, but it does not automate VAT compliance directly like Crossborderit *claims* to (though the claims need to be verified given the low rating).
Which app is more expensive?
The provided information doesn't give pricing details for either app, so it's impossible to definitively say which is more expensive. However, Crossborderit mentions a flat fee structure, suggesting potentially predictable costs.
If I need both IOSS compliance and custom reporting, which app should I choose?
Ideally, you would find an app that does both well. Considering Crossborderit's low rating, it might be best to look for a better-rated IOSS compliance app and use Report Toaster separately for reporting. Alternatively, investigate whether Report Toaster can provide data insights to *inform* a manual IOSS process, while you search for a better IOSS automation app.
