Crowly: Automated A/B Testing vs SEO On: AEO optimizer LLMs.txtfor Shopify (2026)
Both Crowly: Automated A/B Testing and SEO On: AEO optimizer LLMs.txt aim to improve store performance, but they target different aspects and operate with vastly different levels of social proof. Crowly focuses on conversion rate optimization (CRO) through automated A/B testing of elements like product descriptions and pricing across the entire product range. It aims to be an effortless solution, particularly for merchants seeking hands-off optimization. SEO On, while lacking explicit detail, likely focuses on search engine optimization (SEO) and AEO (App Engine Optimization), potentially targeting improved visibility and discoverability. The key differentiator is their core functionality. Crowly promises automated A/B testing powered by AI, targeting specific conversion levers. SEO On, given its name, likely centers on SEO/AEO enhancements. The review count significantly favors SEO On, suggesting a longer market presence and broader user base, indicating greater confidence in its effectiveness (or, at least, perceived value). Crowly, with a single review, is relatively untested. The "Compatible with all stores" claim from Crowly is generic and doesn't give specific information about integration with different Shopify themes or third-party applications. Given the available information, merchants should carefully consider their immediate needs. Are they primarily focused on improving product page conversion rates through A/B testing or enhancing organic search visibility and app ranking?

Our Verdict
SEO On is the safer choice for most merchants in 2026, given its substantial review count and likely focus on fundamental SEO/AEO. The significantly higher review count indicates wider adoption and perceived value.
Crowly, while promising, is a riskier option due to the single review. However, if a merchant *specifically* requires effortless, automated A/B testing for conversion rate optimization and is willing to take a chance on a newer app, Crowly might be worth exploring. Thorough testing and monitoring of Crowly's performance will be crucial to validate its claims.
