CS ‑ Delete Duplicate Products vs OFS BackSort Product Managerfor Shopify (2026)
CS ‑ Delete Duplicate Products and OFS BackSort Product Manager address very different inventory management challenges on Shopify. CS ‑ Delete Duplicate Products targets merchants struggling with duplicate product listings, offering tools to identify and remove them based on title, SKU, or barcode. Its strength lies in its ability to automate this process, saving merchants time and preventing customer confusion caused by duplicate listings. OFS BackSort Product Manager, on the other hand, focuses on improving the customer shopping experience by automatically sorting product collections. It prioritizes in-stock items and pushes out-of-stock items to the bottom, a feature designed to increase conversions by highlighting readily available products. The primary difference between the two lies in their core functionality. One focuses on backend inventory data cleanup and accuracy (CS ‑ Delete Duplicate Products), while the other concentrates on frontend product presentation and customer experience (OFS BackSort Product Manager). CS ‑ Delete Duplicate Products caters to merchants with large catalogs prone to duplication errors, particularly those migrating from other platforms or using multiple data sources. OFS BackSort Product Manager is aimed at merchants wanting to improve sales and conversion rates by making it easier for customers to find available products. Given the large difference in existing user reviews (19 versus 0), CS ‑ Delete Duplicate Products has demonstrated some market traction and trust. Our Verdict
For merchants struggling with messy product catalogs filled with duplicates, CS ‑ Delete Duplicate Products is the clear choice. Its proven track record (indicated by the positive rating and existing reviews, albeit a small sample) suggests it's an effective tool for cleaning up product data. The ability to automatically delete duplicates based on different criteria provides significant time savings.
However, if a merchant's primary concern is improving the shopping experience and increasing sales, OFS BackSort Product Manager offers a straightforward solution. While it lacks user reviews, the concept of automatically prioritizing in-stock items is a well-established best practice in e-commerce. If product data accuracy is not an issue, and the focus is solely on sales optimization, OFS BackSort Product Manager presents a potentially valuable, albeit currently untested, solution.
