CS ‑ Export Product Images and DataPocket: Design Boost, while both operating in the 'Images and media - Other' Shopify category, cater to fundamentally different merchant needs. Our Verdict
The choice between CS ‑ Export Product Images and DataPocket: Design Boost hinges entirely on a merchant's specific requirements. If a merchant needs to systematically download, archive, or repurpose product images outside of Shopify (e.g., for backups, feeds, or supplier requirements), CS ‑ Export Product Images is the clear winner. Its powerful filtering and naming options provide the necessary control.
However, if a merchant frequently uses Canva, Figma, or Adobe for creating marketing materials, social media posts, or other designs, DataPocket: Design Boost offers a more direct and efficient solution. It eliminates the need to manually import product information, saving time and reducing errors. While both apps have perfect ratings, the higher number of reviews for CS ‑ Export Product Images suggests a broader user base, potentially indicating a more established solution for its specific use case. But the best solution truly depends on the specific needs.
